I always tend to shoot, even if I'm in studio, at the golden hour, when the sun goes down.Lighting
I tend to prefer soft light, however for the purpose of this picture I used hard light to make it even more dramatic and powerful.Equipment
I shot at this time with a D7100, Sigma 85mm 1.4, a Yongnuo flash and a 90cm Softbox.Inspiration
I wanted to give it an "Urban" style because the awesome model is an Hip-Hop dancer. I wanted to make her feel comfortable so she can give her 200%.Editing
Of course, I always work on skin with Frequency Separation, then I worked on the contrast but also on the black and white to get the best for my eyes!In my camera bag
In my bag today, I have my Nikon D810, a 85mm 1.4, a 50mm 1.8, and my favorite Sigma 35mm 1.4 Art. I also take with me a reflector and a flash.Feedback
Try to focus, for this one, on harsh light. You absolutely need to have a dark background, not a white one because you will get a different render.
