Location
Taken through my front window into our porch where we feed the birds through the winter.Time
This was dinnertime for the birds.... Late afternoon.Lighting
The silhouette was caused by the lack of light on the railing because of the porch roof, but the sunlight had no problem reflecting off the snow pile created from shoveling all winter long....Equipment
Taken with a Canon Rebel 4 & a tripod.Inspiration
This picture was taken out of sheer boredom. When the weather was too cold to be outside I just played with the camera to kill time. A bird feeder gave me something to practice on.Editing
I did need to increase the contrast to solidify all the areas in the black silhouette. In my camera bag
I carry my Canon, which I upgraded to the Rebel 5 recently, a couple of filters, my macro and zoom lens and--- a cleaning kit! & it often rides shotgun in case anything pops up unexpected.Feedback
Being on the shadow side of things ~ can actually be kinda cool.... As long the object is been you and the light ~ anything can be a potential for a silhouette.
