Behind The Lens

Location
The photo was taken from my pond in my garden
Time
This was taken last summer at around 09.00hrs
Lighting
Filling flash was used, hence the dark background
Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon D3S, 70-300 Nikor lens
Inspiration
the flowers from the water lillies looked great in the morning sun
Editing
I developed the RAW file using Adobe Lightroom 5 and further processing in Photoshop CS6 to bring out the light in the middle of the flower.
In my camera bag
Now I have 2 cameras, the Nikon D3S plus the Nikon D810. the Lens are all Nikon, 14-24mm F2.8, 24-70mm F2.8, 70-200mm F2.8, 50mm F1.4, 105mm F2.8 Macro, 70-300mm F5.6.
Feedback
Use a long lens or a long macro lens to blur the background and filling flash to lighten the subject and darken the background.
