Behind The Lens
Location
At my house, on the kitchen counter. Instead of making supper for my man, like a good wifey, I thought it would be a better idea to shove all the food one side and dump all my photography equipment on the counter instead! :D I was practicing a tutorial I had learned on 'drawing with light'.Time
It was after sunset, and I switched off all the lights in the house and only had my cellphone's LED torch for light.Lighting
Something very interesting, well to me it was... The purple light wasn't there! I only had my mobile phone torch on, but somehow the light also passed through the purple silicone case for my phone and created the beautiful violet hue you see alongside the white light! Seeing as purple is my favorite colour, I was beyond happy when I saw the 'accident'.Equipment
I used my Canon 60D with 15-35mm lens. No tripod - the camera was resting on the kitchen counter alongside the tomatoes with a slice of cheese or two to tilt the lens upwards a bit. (just kidding, it was four slices.. just kidding, the only cheese used here are my jokes) ! No flash at all, only painting in the light with my mobile phone torch. (The phone was a Iphone 4s)Inspiration
I was just starting to learn about photography and a group of like-minded people from all over just got together and stated doing our own workshops and courses. We all knew a photographer or two and invited them to come and talk to us. This photograph was inspired by our 'painting with light' lesson. Everyone else just went outside and drew their names in the dark, but I wanted to see what would happen with the glitter and vinyl shine on my purse, and I took a few shots before I came to this one.Editing
There is no Photoshop or any other post processing done, not even cropping. This is straight from the camera! :)In my camera bag
I don't really have an impressive arsenal of equipment to boast about. AllFeedback
