It is named by the locals Seven Falls because it has seven series of majestic cascades line up one after the other. This is the second falls, and the longest fall among the Seven Falls. The water is so strong and when it reached to the ground creates lots of mists. Nature is really fantastic and listening to the madness of rushing water is really refreshing.

I took the photo from Seven Falls, Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, Philippines. It is called Seven Falls because there are 7 cascading falls are actually in the same place that is in Lake Sebu. The photo is the 2nd falls and among the 7 falls this is the longest fall. Take note I took the photo below after descending my 700 steps.Time
Actually the photo was taken at about 1:34 PM. The place is on top of the mountain so the group I have been with started to travel very early int he morning and arrive at noon time in the place. Long drive. The place does not have really direct lighting from the sun so even if you arrive noon time I am sure you can still take very nice photo. I was amazed with the fogs from the strong fall of water however the fogs serve as mystery in the photo. The place is considered as rainforest so you seldom see the direct lighting from the sun.Lighting
Although we arrived at noon time the sun was still in hiding. So to capture the beauty of the Waterfalls you need to have tripod. When I was there I was blessed with the heavily overcast lighting...so everything turned into more saturated. You can see the lush of green on the leaves of the trees. Perfect lighting to capture beauty of the waterfalls.Equipment
I took it with my 1D X camera with EF 24-70mm f/2.8 II USM lens, and of course with the aid my tripod.Inspiration
I love nature, i love waterscape, and most of all I want to show to the world the beauty of the place "Lake Sebu". I want to show that place like Lake Sebu still existed and need people's attention help preserve it. It might be the last beauty of our nature if we really don't care for it and next generation will be seeing this in photograph only or in their laptop or in their computer. I am inspired with the idea that by showing this photo people will acknowledge the Climate change and sooner or later there will be no water anymore and there will be no "Lush of Green" and be all suffer and the next generation.Editing

You need to know the 3 Ps in photography. P1 - Planning, in your planning you need to research first the target place. It is good to attack if you have full knowledge on what you are going to face with. When shooting nature consider always the weather. Like taking this photo, the place is considered as Rainforest so your camera needs protection (rain cover, or you can bring underwater housing). Take note of your travel time, have check list on all your needed gadgets. Research the accessibility of the place, can it be reached through transportation? or merely by walking? if you research that it does need walking then you need to have exercise 2 months or 1 month before going to the place. P2, Patience - you need to have a lot of patience. To visit the place you are not traveling with transportation all alone. It involves walking. We walked 700 steps going down to the bottom of the second falls. It was rainy and the path was wet and saggy. If you don't have patience then you will end up surrendering. P3. Persistence - if in your first visit you think you did not get the photo you wanted, then keep coming, keep visiting the place until such time the luck is yours. Don't be afraid to experiment, learn, experiment and learn again until such time you have satisfaction on the photos you've taken. By talking to locals also would help because they know a lot about your subject. Don't forget be an environmentalist bring all your waste put it in your bag and don't just leave them in the place because most of time visitors are number one destroyer of nature. Upload your image, edit it according to your preference not the preference of other people. Always have this in your mind in no way others will dictate you on how you edit your photographs. Don't listen to the "nay sayers." Art is art, and often in the History of Art Artists are misunderstood. Nothing new accepted in the beginning. Be happy your inner person reflect your creativity. Negativity won't work in photography!
