Location
At Melbourne ZooTime
Twilight. I took this when no more visitors are thereLighting
It was very dark and the signage said do not flash your camera but not worth taking when not braking the rule. Exception I thought.Equipment
I used Sony a77 and 300zoom lens with in-built flash.Inspiration
I am really amazed by the abundance of reptile species in Victoria Australia, they are everywhere and I often see blue tongue in my backyard, You can see them while walking in the bush, parks, mountain and many in near coastal places. Since I saw one I've been fascinated by their eyes and their differences of colour.Editing
I didn't do any processing with this particular one. I took this one when I just bought my sony camera and I was excited at the outcome so didn't change anythingIn my camera bag
Fully charged 2 batteries, 2 SD cards, 1 prime lens, up to 300 zoom lens and macro lens. I sometimes carry my tripod but not all the time.Feedback
Try taking photos of lizards in lower position than the subject. When taking reptiles I using my zoom lens to observe the reptiles far away and to make those eyes sharper and closer. In dark areas like these flash are very handy..
