I was fortunate to be in Boone, NC back in November 2014 for what so far has turned out to be the only snow they've gotten this winter! As I was driving home the next day on the Blur Ridge Parkway I happened to look in my rearview mirror and noticed that the higher mountain tops were covered in snow and creating a beautiful contrast to the hills that had lost all snow to warmer temperatures.

I stopped and scrambled up to the top of this hill which happened to be a Christmas tree farm, and captured this scene!
