Tis image was taken Bempton Cliffs which is an RSPB reserve

Time

It was taken early afternoon as the sun is right

Lighting

The Gannets were voming in to land straight into the light

Equipment

I used a Canon 5D MKII with a Canon 100-400 Zoom

Inspiration

I love all types of wildlife and wanted to take images of Gannets in their natural environment. Gannets breed at Bempton so they are there mst of the year.

Editing

Standard photoshop levels and sharpness.

Canon 5d MKIII & MKII, Canon lenses, 17-40 F4L, 24-105 F4L, 70-200 F4L, 100-400 L, 180 Macro, 50mm 1.8 Prime. Canon 600EX Flash. Canon 1.4x converter

Feedback

Patience, watch the behaviour of the birds and position yourself where they are coming in and stand there. Use the central focus af point for greater accuracy. Ensure your shutter speed is high 2000+ to freeze the action. Adjusy yor iso if neccessary.
