Location
This photo was taken inmy Brisbane backyard. I've learnt a lot about photography since this hurried snap. Especially, to keep a camera ready at all times.Time
There's nothing better than a Summer evening when the crickets are accompanied by a green frog's croaks. This night was hot and humid but the frog's appearance promised some relieving rains.Lighting
I wish I could say anything about this photo was intentional however it was a snap decision to capture my visitor before he hopped away.Equipment
This was shot on a small point and shoot Nikon digital camera.Inspiration
Green Tree Frogs are such welcome visitors to our yard and their existence is increasingly threatened by invasive species. It had been a long time since we had seen a frog in our yard so I wanted to be sure to capture it.Editing
This photo is completely raw. It remains a little dark and poorly centred just as when captured. In my camera bag
Typically, my bag contains a Nikon D3200, 55mm lens and a macro lens. This equipment was no good to me packed away at my desk when I suddenly decided to snap this photo. I only got one click with a basic digital camera before it was gone.Feedback
Keep your eyes open for the small wonders at home. You never know when you'll want your camera so keep it at the ready. Sometimes brief moments provide a better shot than a well-researched expedition to a perfect location.
