Location
When I visited a remote Ann tribal village near Kengtung on the Shan plateau in Myanmar , this elder was walking around . We were welcome at another older lady's house for tea . It was fabulous : at first the people were pretty shy and then the neighbours came by with the children of all ages as well as a couple of men hunters . We were about 30 people sitting around and sharing stories ( through the interpreter guide ) and food . I brought coffee for them to try as well as cakes and sweets and we had a fantastic afternoon just sitting around together.Time

The people of Myanmar are very generous with their time . As the country opens up to the rest of the world , tourism to them means freedom and they are genuinely happy to see u and smile . They are more than a hundred different tribes in the country and I am fascinated by their traditional way of life .Editing
