Behind The Lens

Location
Rosa Parks Circle, during Blues On The Mall in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Time
Early evening, Music was just beginning. People were still milling about.
Lighting
slightly overcast day. the buildings blocked most of the harsh light and removed the shadows.
Equipment
Shot with a Nikon D800 - 24-70 F2.8 lens. Settings were f5.6, 1/80th sec., ISO 400, @70mm.
Inspiration
I was watching the little boy approach walking ahead of his family. He was greeting everyone, when from the opposite direction the little girl came into view. When he saw her his immediate response was to give her a hug.......that was the moment.
Editing
most of my photographs are straight up. very little post processing. minor tweeks to contrast, etc.
In my camera bag
When shooting an event, I'll usually carry the Nikon D800 with the 24-70mm lens and a 10-24 zoom. tend towards shooting wide angle on the street
