Behind The Lens

Location
I found this old beauty abandoned in New Mexico near Glenrio off Route 66.
Time
It was taken in the early afternoon in the spring.
Lighting
The sun was high and bright in the sky; so I used a warm 81A filter to deepen the rusty patina.
Equipment
I hand-held my Nikon D5000 using a 18-200mm zoom lens. The car was on private property with a posted no trespassing sign; therefore, I couldn't get too close to it.
Inspiration
I was on a Route 66 road trip through New Mexico. Sounds corny...it wasn't the destination but the journey and my companion that inspired me.
Editing
Only post-processing was cropping and burning.
In my camera bag
My Nikon D7000, an array of lens and filters, a little hope and a prayer or two.
Feedback
Some of the most unique and beautiful things are unseen by most of the world. Be adventurous in your own backyard.
