Behind The Lens

Location

This photo is taken at Satellite Beach. It’s a beautiful place! My children grew up with the shore and ocean as their playground.

Time

This was taken mid day.

Lighting

The sky was overcast, and the clouds were streaky. Which added a dramatic appeal.

Equipment

I think, maybe, I used my old Canon Rebel.

Inspiration

My boys grew up playing at the beach. On this day they had dressed up as soldiers. My older son was always entertaining his younger brother, and creating fun and imaginative ideas and scenarios for him. Kurt, (the younger) is the lover of all things military. So, Kyler, (the older) gave him a day to remember. They dressed in fatigues, made a trench, and fought the ‘enemy’ in the water. Here they come out in victory. I love this shot, because you can see that the younger, Kurt, is showing his love and appreciation. The older, Kyler, is showing the same back to him. You can see the brotherly love!

Editing

I used Lightroom, lightly.

In my camera bag

Well, I don’t usually carry a bag. I decide what lens to use ahead of time. And then I just grab the camera! Presently a Nikon D7000.
