Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the Glade Creek Grist Mill of Babcock State Park, West Virginia, USA. The Park is located long the New River Gorge in Fayette County.

Time

That was 17 years ago, September of 2003. I took the photo around 11am. It was partially sunny, and the colors of the trees were turning. I guessed if I could come in later days of the falls, that would have been perfect, with the golden colors of Autumn.

Lighting

I had to use a tripod for low speed setting. I used my Canon A2e, EF 75-300 mm zoom lens

Equipment

I used Kodak color film 100ASA

Inspiration

We were on a family vacation near Shenandoah National Park and it was first time visit to Babcock State Park. Actually we wanted to take pictures of the New River Gorge Bridge. It ws a surprise to get this

Editing

No, I just sent the film to Costco for processing, and made 8"x10" enlargement and scanned it in computer

In my camera bag

I use Canon 5D Mark III now, with EF17-40 mm L; EF24-105 L?EF 70-200mm L?Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 and Canon Flash 600EX rt; polariser filter and ND filters Of course bring along a tripod.....

Feedback
