this photo taken at Papuma beach, Jember, IndonesiaTime
This photo taken on 25 January 2015 at 5:54 AM. Actually I woke up at 4:30 AM for preparationLighting
Lighting is key to be able to make a photo looks alive, help the viewers can come to feel the atmosphere of what photographer want to show in the pictureEquipment
I used Camera Canon 5D Mkii, Carl Zeiss 18mm lens, tripod Phottix carbon fiber, and a remote releaseInspiration
Exactly I woke up around 4 in the morning with the intention of trying to capture the sunrise on the beach, but I was a little disappointed to see the state of the sky, the sky was cloudy and dark, and the sound of thunder sounded insistently. I ventured still to go to the beach, and I saw a strange state of the sky, left side looks bright but on the right side thick cloud with continuous lightning. I then quickly pull out my gear to capture this rare moment, and yeahh I captured lighting for the first time :)Editing
yes.. I shot with RAW.. I did post-pro with Photoshop CC, I just do change on shadow, highlight, contrast and vibranceIn my camera bag
I put all my gear and equipment that I have in my bag. My only one camera Canon 5D Mkii, Carl Zeiss 18mm lens, Canon 24-70mm lens, a speedlite, a remote release and all cleaning equipmentFeedback
to my knowledge, to be able to catch lightning takes courage and luck, because there are no special instructions that can tell us when it will be the lightning appear
