Very nicely done!
It's nice to see a proper HDR-render done correctly! Most times, this style is blown out and drastically overcompensated! You did an absolute perfect job with this one! Very nicely done!

Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken in southern Alberta Canada, close to Lethbridge. I was out exploring and killing time as it was Christmas holidays and I wasn't able to get home to family. The weather was exceptionally great for a few days which is why there is no snow on the ground.
Time
This was shot around 11:40 on a cloudy overcast winter day.
Lighting
The sun was breaking through for very brief moments which allowed a little light on the front of the truck as you can see. Other than that the light was pretty bland.
Equipment
Was shot with my Nikon D200, most likely on a tripod at f6.3, ISO 200 at 27mm.
Inspiration
I always gravitate to anything I find that is old, worn, neglected or abandoned. This truck was no exception.
Editing
I post process in Lightroom and sometimes export/re-import to and from Photomatix if I'm feeling like I need more detail in the shadows etc. As you can see by this shot I also try not to "overcook" my images and am using HDR less and less these days.
In my camera bag
Nowadays I have a D800 and the D200 is my backup. I saved and bucked up, purchasing all the 2.8V R Nikon glass to go in front of the D800. (The Nikon Holy Trinity). There's no sense buying a highres camera if you're only going to put cheap glass in front of it. Also have a great 85mm 1.8 and a 50mm 1.4 that I use sometimes for portraits etc.
Feedback
Shots like these are all about time exploring and sometimes luck with the light once you find them. I spend more time driving a lot of the days than actually shooting but when you find that one place or car that makes you stop, it all becomes worth it.
