Location
This photograph was taken at the Truful Truful area into the Conguillío national park in the region of Araucania, Chile. The Truful-Truful is a set of jumps and waterfalls located in the upper area of Truful-Truful river. The waters of the ridge with the forest that surrounds create an oasis in the so-called Llaima Valley of the Moon product of the eponymous volcano eruptionsTime
It was taken at sunset in summer in the midst of a thick fog that covers the volcano. Inside the park there is a micro climate that generates these cloudiness and turns into visual spectacles sunset colors.Lighting
The weather conditions change abruptly and that makes difficult the task of composing a photograph after another, especially in this case that is a long exposure at sunset which can offer seconds of clarity or darkness.Equipment
Nikon D7000, Tokina 12-24, Tripod, ND8 FilterInspiration
Araucanía has undeniably beautiful landscapes, volcanoes, ancient Araucarias, waterfalls, clouds and mist mixed. In this case all mix up a photograph that seeks to capture the diversity and joy of nature.Editing
Only basic adjusts in Lightroom, Sharpness, Clarity, exposure and balance of lights and shadowsIn my camera bag
Now i used a Nikon D3s Camera, Tokina 16-28 f2.8 for landscapes and a Nikon 70-300 for landscape extracts and details, a big ND Filter. Also i used a Sony A6000 with 16-50 and 55-210 Lenses.Feedback
In the Andes Mountain Range it is good to be prepared for the special moments. Every moment changes the landscape and can be done very theatrical or allow intimate details. Must watch the sunrise and sunset to capture the best light in place. Particularly in this park there are many different scenarios that are worth being portrayed
