These are the canyonlands terrain I will be hiking through to get to rock art sites this Thursday 9-26 to Sunday 9-29-13. They are rough, rugged, remote and require jeep 4 wheel drive to get to. No gas stations and I have to carry extra 15 gal. gas to get back to civilization. It is hard to believe that this was home to the ancients for over 10,000 years. Of course no phone or cell or internet service.
