I caught this pic at the end of a hike up Sulphur Mountain in Banff Alberta. This peak of elevation (8,041 ft) exceeds the surrounding mountain range, its absolutely breathtaking. In 1903 a meteorological observatory was built, with a man made trail of switchbacks leading up to it. I climb this at least once per year. It was here at this old historical sight where I caught a large raven flying underneath me as I leaned over a stone ledge to take in the breathtaking view. I felt his presence before I saw him and a gut reaction engaged me to press the shutter.
