this photograph was taken out on the aegean sea just off the coast of santorini one of the greek islands below the world famous sunset town of oiaTime
this photograph was taken about 18:45-19:00 at the end of a very hot day and very camera tired must have photographed 6-800 that day so the right eye was feeling the effects somewhatLighting
as i was shooting right into the low sun which was still very bright set the aperture to f.10 and shutter speed at 1/250 focal length 51/1 (cannon settings) to dark the capture a notch or threeEquipment
canon EOS 1100D 18-55mm wide angle lens a sailing boat and a very steady hand as the sea was a bit choppyInspiration
ever since i booked the holiday a year previously in 2013 and from an australian woman called helen who i met in one of the greek islands corfu in 1991 when she mentioned that she was going to santorini i was always eager and fascinated to go and experience the sunsets at oia even if it took me 23 years to get to this wonderful islandEditing
no the photograph has not been through the post-processing procedureIn my camera bag
i have my canon EOS 1100D 18-55mm wide angle lens 75-300mm telescopic lens and 1.8 prime lens remote control tripod cleaning equipment and filtersFeedback
when you do sunsets at sea always great to get a boat or two in your capture and if you are on a boat wedge yourself against choppy seas as it can get really tricky just to stand on a boat in these conditions and always take a few captures
