Location
This photo was taken on my property in Bruce County in Ontario, Canada.Time
We live on the top of a hill and our house faces the east. This location provides an excellent viewpoint for some amazing sunrises. When you add the reflective properties of our pond, it makes for some terrific opportunities to capture some breathtaking images. I am an early riser and the morning I took this photo, I get outside early enough to observe and capture this great reflection of the red sky and clouds on our pond.Lighting
I took the time to take a number of different photos using different exposures to get the lighting just right. The result was this amazing image.Equipment
Nikon D7000 , hand held using a number of exposures to generate subtle changes in captured images.Inspiration
I just looked out the window and told myself I had to get outside to capture this magnificent sunrise.Editing
Nothing done post processingIn my camera bag
My D7000, a Nikon 18-105 mm lens, a Nikon 79-300 mm lens, cleaning supplies and extra SD cards.Feedback
Get up and outdoors well before sunrise and ok for a good location to frame your shots. Start taking photos using the manual settings and change the exposure time to try different shots. Review the shots on the camera until you get it just right. As the lighting changes, make exposure time changes to compensate. Using a tripod will be beneficial when shooting in low light conditions
