Location
In Kópavogur in Iceland just above the harbor there. It's where Spessi, featured on this photograph, resided and had his workstudio. Spessi of course is Icelands best known photographer and also a bit of a biker so taking this photo of him was just something that was fitting, since the surroundings were raw and 80's like here in Iceland.Time
It was taken around launchtime after I had been having coffee with Spessi.Lighting
No, just cloudy gray and overcast, normal springtime weather here in Iceland and so lots of diffused light :) which makes everything better in my personal opinion.Equipment
I used Pentax K5-IIs with 40mm f/2.8 pentax pancake lens. No flash or tripod, just panning by hand. I must add that Pentax is my main pro gear but I also use Fujifilm Xpro and XE along with both 7artisan and other eqiupment equal.Inspiration
Friendship with Spessi as well as he wanted some cool shot of him riding his bike and of course I didn't let a good friend tell me twice :)Editing
Yes, used Silver effects from Google (think they still had it then) to turn it BW from color. In my camera bag
Pentax and Fuji in Digital and also Pentax, Voigtlander, Olympus and others in film - I have many bags, and I shoot equally digital and film.Feedback
Yes, even if you work as a photographer, never let it spoil you from having fun taking photos with friends and just let go. The best thing in the world is to have fun taking photographs. Spessi the subject on the photo is a well known icelandic photographer and I'm Reuters news photographer, and even if he is over 50 years old and i'm getting close to 50, we can still have fun and act like we are 16 again with the camera. Never ever give up the feeling of experimenting and having fun. Doing mistakes and getting better is part of a learning curve that makes us all better in the end, but the fun is the best part. Of me, i've retired due to a disease called CRPS (Cronic Regional Pain Syndrome) - a life sentense of pain but I still try to take photos because they always make me smile <3 Thank you Viewbug and all!
