Stunning. Perfectly composed and you've even added a tint of drama to the photo with (i guess) HDR? Unbelievable, congrats!

Location
This stunning images was taken in the Highlands of Scotland. An area of outstanding beauty, in the Glencoe area of the Highlands. The Buachaille is one of the most prominent mountains in the group.Time
This image was taken at 5.30 in the early evening of September 2013. The mountain is often obscured by mist and cloud, and can be changeable on a minute by minute basis.Lighting
There was a beautiful shaft of light coming thought the clouds that make for a special moment to capture the image, with enough low light to give a slower shutter speed to get some movement on the water.Equipment
Camera was a Canon 60D, with a 10-20 mm Sigma lens, mounted on a tripod.Inspiration
This is a photographers dream to capture when the conditions are right, and can mean many visits before the lighting and water all fall in to place. The shaft of light just added to the atmosphere.Editing
The image is a HDR, 3 stacked image, with lighting done for the foreground, mid range and the mountain and clouds. All the images where blended and stacked in Photoshop, with minimal processing after, just a small amount of detail sharpening, and a small boost to contrast and colour. The idea was for it to not look like an over processed HDR image. In my camera bag
I normally carry, a selection of lenses, filters and spare cards, and batteries. lenses range from 10mm all the way up to 300mm for any wildlife opportunities.Feedback
Capturing in HDR, has given me the tools to get the image i was after, using a slower shutter for the water, and a faster speed to give detail in the clouds without blowing out the highlights to much. Processing the image after i made sure to make the image look as natural as possible, not over saturating the colours as this can easy be done. The use of a ND filter would have slowed the shutter down to an extent of not getting the detail in the moving water, so a balance has to be found to get the image you see in you mind. In this case i found a filter was not needed.
