This spot looks very familiar. Love the contrast between warm and cool tones.

Very creative. Composition, lighting, and model are perfect. And the rose petals are a nice touch. Superb!

Location
This photograph was taken at Krug Park in St. Joseph, Missouri. Krug Park is my "go to" place for portraits.Time
This was around 4 pm; photographed in March of 2014. If it was any later there would have been no sun to work with for this image.Lighting
This photograph was created for an assignment for my Lighting Photography course. I was required to photograph on location with the sun; use a model; use 3 strobe lights and reflectors.Equipment
I used my Canon Rebel xsi, 18-55mm lens, 3 strobe lights, and a reflector.Inspiration
With every assignment I take great care in doing what is required and in some cases, if possible, go above and beyond to capture the desired photograph needed.Editing
I performed a little bit of post-production on this photograph by enhancing the ray of light that is shining on the steps leading to the model and brightened up the top of the stairway to make it more pronounced for the ray of light to be more believable. I helped the stones of the stairway by bring a tone of blue to the scene to give it a cool feeling, so that the ray of sunshine would be in contrast and provide warmth to the model. In my camera bag
I carry my Canon 70d, 18-55mm lens, 75-300mm zoom and tripod.Feedback
This was a ton of work to create! The planning before the shoot and finding the right model. Then setting up all of the equipment and trying to keep the dad of this young lady away from the set was impossible. He kept telling her to smile and that was NOT what I wanted! My advice for this type of photograph...make sure you have all your ducks in a row and know exactly the style of photograph that you want for your end product and only invite those that will help you achieve that; not the ones that will try to put their two cents worth into your work. If she was smiling in this photograph I wouldn't be able to show it, because it would have been a failure.
