Location
This photo was taken at Durdle Door Beach in West Lulworth Dorset in the UKTime
This was mid day, it was a lovely sunny day with just a few wispy clouds in the sky, as it was quite warm, there was a thin layer of mist just above the sea and below where i was.Lighting
It was quite a bright day but there were a few clouds in the sky which blocked the sun a little. The sun was also not directly above me but slightly behind me.Equipment
This was a handheld shot taken with my D600.Inspiration
When we got to this gorgeous location, everyone was taking photos on the other side which is the main attraction to this particular part as it has the rock arch on the other side. A lot of the time, people tend to just look and photograph the "touristy" part and neglect what could be just over their shoulder. This side is just as beautiful.Editing
I did do a bit of work in post. the colours are enhanced a little bit and a few spectators were cleaned up on the beach (just a couple, they cold have been nude sunbathers for all I know) but overall, this photo pretty much reflects what it looked like on the day.In my camera bag
As I am fairly new to photography and still learning ( there is waaay too much to learn) I dont have that much equipment. In my bag I have my Nikon D610 (the D600 was replaced by Nikon), the Nikon 50mm 1.4 and the Nikon 28-300 along with memory cards, Lens cloth, BW 10 Stop and polariser filter.Feedback
If I had the opportunitly to shoot this shot again, I would try and get there early in the morning or a lovely evening shot however, not everything has to be taken at those times, you can still get an amazing shot during the day. Some advice would be to ensure you remember your tripod. I think I would have taken some extra exposures ie for the sky, foreground and maybe one on the rocks.
