A superb B&W with exceptional composition, clarity, contrast, depth, detail and perspective
Utilizing the ragged lines of grass that mimic the angles in the mountains for framing the reflection was very clever and, is highly effective in enriching all of the qualities listed above.
Excellent work, Ansel Adams would be proud !

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Schwabacher's Landing.

Time

Time of Day / TOD to me is the most import aspect to me in Photography. This was taken between 4pm & 6pm shortly after arriving in Jackson

Lighting

For Landscapes TOD is the most important aspect. Sunrise to 11am & 4pm to Sundown the time in between is normal or sometimes call "tourist" lighting. Paying attention to TOD at the location you want to shoot puts you in a position to witness or capture something exciting.

Equipment

Nikon D7100 / 10mm-24mm Lens / tripod / Graduated Neutral Density Filter

Inspiration

Anyone who has visited the Grand Tetons may find this place alone will inspire you to pull out a camera. Any photographer will be inspired to capture the best possible image that you can.

Editing

Processed in Photoshop starting with a RAW Image. Utilized NIK Silver Efex pro for post processing.

In my camera bag

Nikon D7100 / 10mm-24mm Lens / 18mm - 200mm Lens / 18mm - 70mm Lens / tripod / Graduated Neutral Density Filters / Lee Big Stopper / Lee Little Stopper / Polarizing Filter / cable release / Stop Watch / Extension Tubes (for macro work) / Kinetronics Anti Static Micro Fiber cleaning cloth

Feedback

TOD, TOD, TOD !! plan and research where the sun will be, don't be afraid to venture out in adverse weather(plan & dress accordingly).
