Location
This shot was taken on the Quayside of Sutton Harbour, where once there was nothing but Trawlers alongside the quay, it is part of the historic area of Plymouth Barbican, the area where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for the New World ( America ) now you will see very few Fishing Trawlers, but lot of Pleasure Boats, everything from a small motor Boat to the Multi-Million Pound Pleasure Boats of Princes Yacht, the original birthplace, where they started the CompanyTime
This if the Very start of the day just as the first rays of light start to break the horizon, what any photographer class as the golden hours, because of that great light that you get, at the start of every sunny, but they do not all start like this at the crack of DawnLighting
What can anyone say about the Light except to capture any shot with the best light possible, and the first light and the last rays of light are always the best time to capture great landscape shots byEquipment
Nikon D3100, Camera with an !8-55 MM Nikon Lens, and TripodInspiration
I had been up for about an hour or so and seen what promised to be a good day picked up my Camera bag an jumped into the Car, the trip was short, to where I wanted to go, and when I first saw that first ray of light breaking over the Horizon and the colour it was starting to show, it does not take much more to inspire any Photographer, when they see those colours that the sunrise revealsEditing
put the Photo through Photoshop CS6 to boost the contrast to enrich the colour, and that was aboutIn my camera bag
I travel for all eventuality, be prepared for anything, because it is always when you least expect a great Photo opportunity to present it's self, it does, I always travel with more then one Camera Body, but it depends of what I go to shoot, be it landscapes, Urban, street, or portraiture shoot, I travel with the 18-55mm, 50mm, 16-35mm, 24-120, 14-24, 18-200mm but I always take Tele Converters with me, Speed Lights, and Soft Box that fits over the Speed Light, Polarised, and Neutral Density Filter, and Tripods, I always take two with me, one that has some weigh to it, and a light one for those long walks to places that you can not get to with a car, and always take spare Battery's and make sure they are charged, and Memory Cards depending on how you shoot and record your images to your cards, I always take at least 8 Cards with me 4, 32 Gb and 4, of 64 Gb Ultra Fast 10 SD Cards, and to top it off a decent Bag to Carry it all in, don't just pick anything, get something that feels comfortable, when carry it, because sometimes you have to carry it for long distances, so it has to carry the weight, but it has to feel comfortable to carryFeedback
If you are looking for photos of certain things or certain places, look for photographers who have shot photos of it, or if you are looking to take photos of certain areas, and places, go on Pinterest or Facebook and look for Local Photographers or Photographer Clubs, you will always find Local Photographers who is more then willing to guide you, or even accompany you on the shoots, and you will always pick up tips from fellow Photographers, and as I said, always be prepared for the photo opportunity that could pop up, where you may be the only person to have the photo, when it happens, or even just after it happens, and always be prepared to get up in the early hours to capture that Shot of the day with the best light, it does not always present it's self, but always be ready for when it does
