Location
This photo is taken in the air above Västerås, Sweden. A lovely summer evening indeed.Time
SunsetLighting
The light was perfect with the sun setting. I was a bit afraid that I had to jump off the balloon to late, but we managed to get the balloon off ithe ground n time.Equipment
I used a handheld monopod with a remote trigger mounted on the pod. The camera is an Olympus mirrorless OM-D E-M5 with a fisheye. I want to keep the weight down, doing the kind of shots I do.Inspiration
The shot was well planned. I didn't jump my own high performance parachute because of the problems of a potential bad landing area. You never know exactly where you will end up when you jump from a balloon. I have taken pictures jumping off hot air balloons before, but it was time for a selfie, deluxe.Editing
Not really. Some shadow, highlights in lightroom. In my camera bag
A mirrorless camera and wide angle lens. Mounted on a helmet or on a monopod.Feedback
I have more than 20 years of skydiving behind me. Don't try to do this before you have logged a few hundred skydives.
