Behind The Lens

Location

One morning Dive , mi favorita Dive spot, in Puerto Morelos , Quintana Roo , México, near a shallow reef named the Gardens, This is a protect area inside the national park , so turtles and all marine species are protected. Near the reef is a n area is cover with turtle grass algae which green turtles love to eat, specially morning hours, I find this beauty at the bottom having breakfast and just aloud me to get near to her, and stay for a will watching it, it was just fantastic. I never going to forget this moment of my life I remember every ditail of it.

Time

Early morning around 9:30 am I spot this beauty far away , so I move very slow and I position my self whit the sun light on my back so I get the best light possible I try to stay calm and lay at the bottom to , wow just remember this moment make feel so small and insignificant, I can see every ditail of her she is just amazing the most incredible and perfect creature I have ever seen, this is for far my favorite shot and my favorite sea creature

Lighting

I have a point and shot camera whit some features and a red filter on it, the place was only 25 feet deep , so I have so much natural light , I don't need to use a flash just the red filter, always try to get the sun light on my back so can get the best light on the turtle and just one of this lucky that I have.

Equipment

I just have a cannon T2I Point and shot nothing special on a cannon housing, and a red filter this camera have great definition and is all about light .

Inspiration

I'm a scuba instructor the sea is my passion and my life , I just love sea turtles they are my favorite creature on this planet I can explain how I feel for them , I spen a life protecting them do all I can to live them along, so they are my hole inspiration, for me they are just perfect I never get tired of take photos of them every time I see one i just have this excitement , like is the very first time I ever see one. I can say what inspired me to take this shot but I can say I just love sea turtles they are part of my life now.

Editing

I just this some bright and contrast on photoshop.

In my camera bag

Cannon cameras, red filters flash and lights.

Feedback

Is had to say when we talking about underwater photography, just have some good equipment and low your equipment well, the more shallow better for natural light, always keep the sun on your back and use red filters if you don't have a flash. Be gentle when you approaching to any sea creature make small moves and stay calm that is my advice. Thanks to all and thanks to the Sea and this beautiful turtle. I'm sorry for my English .
