What a beautiful photo!!! Even though it isn't the same war, Flanders' Field comes to mind. Such an incredible photo and a beautiful aircraft.
Glad to see the beauty preserved, and excellent job in bringing back the 40s by removing all traces of modern "civilization" from the photo.

This photo was taken just after a storm so all the poppies were wet and full of colour and light when the clouds dispersed and the sun came out, The afternoon sun was what made this shot for me, add the plane and I had the Iconic shot which I still love today, so much so I ended up puting this on a large Canvas.Equipment
Camera used was a Canon 5D mkii and the lens used was a canon 24-70mm f2.8 l lens, used at the 24mm wide end, f7.1 ISO 200, shutter speed 1/100th .Inspiration
sorry cant read the instructions, but if it says what inspired me to do this photo then that would be easy, it was a tribute to all that had lost there lives to give us all freedom, plus my Dad was in the Army too, so that was my inspiration behind this image, my hope was it would be powerful enough to make people think more about what our service Men and Women do for us.Editing
I did some post processing but not much when it came to the Poppy picture, this image was pretty good to start with and nor did i do much to the Spitfire, I do shoot in Raw so I can pull the details out of an image more if i need to, the plane was cut out of it's original image which had a plane blue sky behind it so that made an easy job of the cutting out useing quick selection tool in PS then I copied this, I then went to my poppy image and pasted the plane into the image, positioned it made it a letative size to match the poppy photo and then cleaned the edges with the clone tool after flattening the image, boosted the contrast just a fraction and that was pretty much that.In my camera bag
I normally have in my bag, Canon 5D Mkiii, canon 70-200mm f2.8 l is usm lens, canon 24-70mm f2.8 l usm lens, sigma fish eye lens, canon 50mm f1.8, canon 85mm f1.8, 2x ex 600rt flash guns canon radio trigger, a number of filters, from hitech half grads to Hitech 16 stopper filter plus Lee circular polorizer, and numourous others. I also do wild life photography which I own a canon 1DX and the Canon 600mm f4 l is usm lens. I have 3 tripods and one mono pod, tripod 1 is a carbon fibre Manfrotto with gimbal head for the big lens, Tripod 2 is a Manfrotto with landscape head attatched and the last one is a small travel type tripod which i take away on Holidays.Feedback
Going to an airshow in summer with a field of poppies would be better, if not a composite works just as well.
