Behind The Lens

Location

This photo is a composition of two photos. The first one was taken on Boston Harbour fan pier. The second one (sky) was taken in my home town Trois-Rivieres, Qc, Canada.

Time

The two photos was taken just before sunset.

Lighting

For the one at the fan pier, it was a very cloudy and rainy day. For the sky it was a beautiful sunny day.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D3100 with the kit 18-55 lens for the main photo and a 50mm for the sunset sky.

Inspiration

The Fan pier offer probably the most scenic view of Boston Skyline and it wasn't a good day for a beautiful sunset but it was my only chance to take it so i decided to take some picture and see later what i can do with it. Finnally, when i get back home, i decided to merge this Boston Skyline pics with one discarted sunset picture i had on my HD.

Editing

Of course! Mainly photoshopped the two picture togetter and made some color and sharpness adjustement to get the final result.

In my camera bag

My D3100, a 35mm, a 50mm and my 18-55 kit lens. That's it! :)

Feedback

Don't wait for the perfect sky or wheather to take some pictures.... Use your imagination and you will take great pictures!
