Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at Þórsmörk, at the end of the Laugavegur Hiking trail in Iceland.

Time

Not really sure about that, but sometime in the afternoon. I remember I was having a short walk near Volcano Huts campsite when I came across that lonely road.

Lighting

Iceland's sky and its dramatic clouds did all the job, the northen situation of the country provides a magical range of skies.

Equipment

As far as I can remember, I just used my camera with a ND filter. At that moment I was carrying my tripod, but I'm not sure if I used it in this photo.

Inspiration

The straightness of the road, the threatening clouds, the car's dust, the contrast between the plains and the mountains...

Editing

Yes I did. I used some of Lightroom's presets to increase exposure and also enhanced the clouds and colors. And of course I had to get rid of some spots (after 7 days of trekking, the rain and heavy wind stained the lenses)

In my camera bag

I don't have many equipment so I could take everything I have: my camera, two lenses, a tripod, and a polarizing and a ND filter

Feedback

Rather than skills it's just a matter of luck, having the chance to come across that kind of landscape. I felt that landscape that practically composed itself.
