This manginificant chandelier was hung in Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. The chandelier is 14 metres high and weights 8.5 tonnes with a diameter of 8 metres. The world champion piece consists of more than 600.000 STRASS® Swarovski® Crystals in which the light of 1,114 halogen bulbs refracts. The metal parts of the chandelier are plated with 24 karat gold. The production time for this masterpiece was four years. Today it hangs under the 46 metre high and 25 metre wide dome of the mosque, rounded off with an ensemble consisting of 16 smaller crystal chandeliers with “only” a diameter of three metres each. 18 hanging lamps are also part of the shining ensemble.
