Golden retriever amongst golden wheat. Congratulations. I just looked at it without the upper part and feels it is even better.

Great shot of a golden. I also have one that is always attracted to the underbrush (^:

Location
This photo was taken many years ago in the wheat field in Dane End. As Dane End is set in a valley the fields are often sloped leading to different angles in the background.Time
As I recall I believe this was taken in the mid to late afternoon.Lighting
I wanted the focus to be on Stella, the later afternoon light combined well with the color of the wheat and Stella's fir to compliment them both.Equipment
I believe this was shot free hand using my canon eos 500D with a short range lense.Inspiration
I wanted to show Stella off for the wonderful dog that she was and have a memory that would last a lifetime.Editing
I played around with the lighting and exposure to bring focus to the color of the wheat and Stella. I utilized the curves tool to really hone in on where I wanted the light focused. In my camera bag
Between using my samsung s6+ or samsung s9 for casual photography. I also have my canon eos 500D. I have 3 different lenses for shooting various distances and various filters including colored and polarized filter lenses.Feedback
Have some fun and some patience. Dogs can often be the most wonderful models but they will also want to do their own thing and not listen to you. After all they just want to be outside and exploring rather than posing for pictures. Have some fun experimenting with different times during the day to achieve the lighting you want, I always enjoyed shooting pictures just before sunset as the light would bring warm tones.
