Beautiful use of negative space here - beautiful tones, lines, and movement. This image tells a story.

Très poétique, belles structures, belles nuances de gris, grège, bleus. I like

Location
I took this image at a walk at the beach of Grado, northern ItalyTime
We left home in the morning and started our walk at around 11 a. m. Since it was the 2nd of January the beaches were almost empty and the light was beautiful.Lighting
It was a cloudless sunny day, the light war brillant. Absolutely clear and very low sun what caused a lot of sharp shadows and very bright but transparent colours.Equipment
I used my Nikon D7100 and my tamron 18-200. No flash, acutally a filter would maybe have been smart since the light was so clear.Inspiration
I wanted to show the emptyness of the beach and the loneliness of my little one. She likes to be alone sometimes, she likes to do things her own way and very often walks far ahead of the rest of the family. I unserstand that very well. And I also loved the lines of the sand that all seemed to be leading to her...Editing
Hardly any - maybe a litlle contrast and sharpening. But due to the excellent light conditiones it was not really necessary...In my camera bag
Not much, I am too lazy. I carry my camera all the time and do not want to carry to much weight with me. I usually have a Tamron allround-zoom (18-200 or even 18-300) and an extension lens (20) that I carry in a little bag fixed on my camera. So I am prepared for most situationes and have all the freedom I need to take a quick shot. The best images are usually not planned (just like tis one) and you do not have time to prepare a lot...Feedback
This is not very hard if you just find a similar setting and light. If it is not winter, just wait for the evening. Of course you have to follow the rules of composition to make sure the figure is at the right place- Good luck!
