You have taken the typical scene and made it into a magic moment, I also love your detail comments about the photo, which I never do, , just lovely.

Location
I took this photo at the Onslow County Fair. The fair was pitiful. But the photographic opportunities were fantastic!Time
This was taken at 7pm. There was still a bit of color left in the sky from the break of dusk which made the image really come together.Lighting
I had a lot of good images from the fair, the best images were taken around this time. Without the color in the sky there was something missing from the image. The color really added to the scene.Equipment
I was using my Nikon D7100, with my shiny new Sigma 18-200mm lens (It was my first time using it!). I used a tripod and my RF-603 Yongnuo triggers.Inspiration
I prefer natural light lifestyle photography. But I wanted to branch out and challenge myself to do things that I wasn't necessarily comfortable with, but that would help me grow as a photographer. This was my very first time shooting at night. Now I am slightly obsessed with sneaking out for my night time photography fix! I really love the magic that you can create!Editing
Yes, I always do post-processing. I love to edit, I think it may be my favorite part of photography. I edit in Photoshop CC, I added contrast, vibrance, clarity and ran the noise reduction filter. In my camera bag
I've always got my D7100 in my bag with my 35mm, 50mm and my 18-200mm. I have a couple of Yongnuo flashes and triggers and my trusty tripod. Nothing fancy, but they are good to me!Feedback
The key to photographing a festival is to be patient and wait. I spent most of my night waiting for the ferris wheels and the battering ram to all be operating at the same time. With just one element of movement in the image it isn't nearly as interesting. But adding three at different speeds adds a ton of flair to your image if they are captured in the right places in the frame. I also found that choosing a custom white balance can add so much to an image taken at night, sometimes choosing a white balance that exaggerates the color can really bring an image to a whole new level.
