Family Picture in Uganda - a scanned film print

Trekking across Uganda, over 5 weeks into the walk, we came upon this dusty little village in the middle of nowhere. But they had cold - - ok, cool, as, in the shade - - beer. After days of nothing but purified, sorta, warm water from dubious rivers, it was heaven.

But this family saw my camera and begged me to take a picture of their whole family, new baby (which I'm holding) and us. I set up the camera, drew a line in the red earth, and handed it off to a friend of this lovely family, instructing him in hand signals on the intricacies of taking a photo with a 35mm camera which he'd certainly never heard of.

I sent them a framed print after I got home. After I had lots of pizza and cold beer and a real bath. Right after that.
