I took this photo at L Etacq in St Ouens on a small island called Jersey. Jersey officially the Bailiwick of Jersey is a Crown dependency of the United Kingdom, ruled by the Crown in right of Jersey, off the coast of Normandy, France.Time
This photo was taken in the evening just as the sun was setting, it was August so the time would have been around 21:00Lighting
It wasn't the greatest sunset but the light was good and shooting with sun out of shot to the right gave the image a nice feel.Equipment

I love to shoot either early mornings as the sunrises or late evening as the sun goes down. I have been to this location before, on this occasion the tide was in the there was some nice waves, like to use use a slow shutter speed to give the feel of movement in the water.Editing
Use Lightroom to do some basic, highlights, shadows, whites and blacks, Lens correction as well. The in Photoshop adjust the curves contrast and sharpening.In my camera bag
In my back I carry a Samyang 14mm Lens, a Canon 70-300mm lens, intervalometer a few ND grad filter, 10 stop ND filter and a Sony A6000 with 16-55.My camera which is now a Canon 6D is nearly always attached to my Manfrotto 190 Go tripod with the lens I nearly always use a Canon 17-40L Also keep a number of clothes for those moments when the sea spray needs to be wiped away.Feedback
Be sure to get to the location early before the sunset to giev yourself time to find the best composition and then you will be ready for when the light is at its best and don't leave as soon as the sun disappears below the horizon as some of the best light will appear just after the sun has gone down. Experiment with shutter speeds, the right speed will depend on the movement of the sea And when shooting the sea remember to take a cloth or two to clean the spray of the lens, nothing worse that to get home load up the images and find you have a load of water droplets spoiling the images.....
