Location
I do construction and remodeling, and this was at a client's house. I asked her if I could come back and photograph her flowers and she said yes.Time
This was afternoon, around 5:00 pm, sometime in the summer of 2014.Lighting
All natural sunlight, afternoon sunlight, so it was not overblown.Equipment
I used a Canon 70D camera and a Sigma 18-250mm Lens,.Inspiration
They were absolutely beautiful flowers. I had to capture them.Editing
I used photoshop to enhance the vibrance and clarity, as well as mute out the background colors so that the flower stands out and pops.In my camera bag
I have since departed with the Canon 70D and now use a Canon 5D Mark III. I now have a Canon 24-105mm f/4L that I love (I always have it) - I also frequently use a Canon 100mm Macro f?2.8L. I usually pack my Canon 50mm f/1.4. Sometimes I bring the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8. And I sometimes use a Canon 85mm f/1.8.Feedback
Wait for the right time of day if it is sunny out - think about where the sun will be in the morning vs. afternoon. I prefer the warm light of late afternoon, it gives things a nice look.
