Location
This shot was taken at a small stream which flows through a valley about a kilometer from home in Bergen, Norway.Time
It was taken shortly before sunset which at these latitudes was around 3pm!Lighting
It's the setting sun which really makes this photo by catching the stream perfectly in its light and turning the water that lovely golden colour. Low in the southern sky it filtered through the branches just right to catch the water.Equipment
I used the trusty Nikon D3100 on a tripod with a variable filter set on 2 and a five second exposure to get the water silky smooth.Inspiration
I was just out for a wander looking for inspiration when this scene just kind of hit me between the eyes. It would've been criminal not to take a picture!Editing
I actually did minimal editing on this shot. Just a bit of brightness reduction on the snow and a slight colour boost for the water. In my camera bag
Nikon D3100, Tamron 18-55mm and Sigma 70-300mm lenses, phottix VND-MC variable ND filter, Hama tripod.Feedback
