Walking around the Headland this afternoon eager to try out my new 50mm lens i stumbled across this seal pup on the beach seeking refuge from the stormy sea. I laid literally 2 feet away from him for about an hour taking pictures and keeping dogs away that wanted to inspect him. After a while he got quite comfortable with my presence and at one point he shuffled towards me as if he wanted to cuddle up to me and keep warm. This moment will stay with me forever. I especially like the choice you made to desaturate most of it and leave some color in the mouth to draw the eye in.
