Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in the countryside outside of Whitby, North Riding of Yorkshire

Time

It was around 2pm

Lighting

The lighting reflected in the water showing this magnificent tree in all its glory.

Equipment

I used a Nikon V1 10-30mm.

Inspiration

When a beautiful reflection is on offer then it needs to be captured and this is what happened. the tree had caught my eye but the reflection completed the picture.

Editing

I did do post-processing; first i turned into black and white and then i used Snapseed a program i really like as it just brings out the dramatic sky in the photo.

In my camera bag

Whilst at the time i had the Nikon V1 with two lenses (10-30mm and a 30mm-110mm) I now have i updated to the Nikon D3200 for which i have five lenses; 70-300mm; a 90mm macro lens;a 18-55mm; a 55-200mm and a 10-20mm.

Feedback

Carrying a camera with you is essential if you have a serious passion for photography. Missing those one off moments is so annoying.
