I guess we all like to get up early to capture the most beautiful image of our imagination.

Location
This was taken the day after I got married at Pine Lakes Lodge near Cambridge Ohio.Time
This was in the early morning hours. I woke up and my new husband was still sleeping and I looked out the window to this view. At that moment I realized I was so glad I brought my good camera with me! I ran downstairs in the lodge’s robe only, LOL, because I had to capture it before it went away! As I’m sure most people know, you could look out the window and by the time you get outside it could be completely different. I seriously was a little bit panicked to get outside. LOLLighting
When it comes to lighting, I always say natural lighting is best! This is what it looked like when I looked out the window, minus some contrast changes.Equipment
At the time I had a canon 7D. I do not have my tripod with me, so when I ran outside this was hand held.Inspiration
Honestly, I was it took was opening the drapes of the lodge and seeing this magnificent Vista and I was all in!Editing
I definitely did some post processing on this, although it didn’t need a ton. I added extra contrast and a little bit more green to the grass. Because of the time of the day, usually the colors are not that vivid. So I wanted to make a bold statement by making it pop.In my camera bag
Of course I always have my Canon 5D Mark three at this point. I absolutely am in love with my 100 mm lens, along with other favorite lenses and definitely a remote trigger for the shutter.Feedback
My best advice is to always have your camera on you, even if you don’t think you’re going to need it. I feel like you always need to be ready because a lot of landscape photography is being there at the right place at the right time. The other half of the time landscape photography is major planning. It just depends. So just always be ready in case nature surprises you!
