Excellent. The wood grain complements the fox nicely

Wonderful cap and composition. I really like the framing.

This is beautiful as a composition, and as a demonstration of your gentleness in approaching the fox. Did you notice the image of a fox repeated in the grain of the wood above the right ear?

Behind The Lens

Location
This image was taken in Wyoming
Time
It was around 10am
Lighting
The lighting is all natural
Equipment
I photographed this image with a Nikon camera but do not remember the settings or lens I used
Inspiration
to practice patients and to work real slow to get a moment like this
Editing
Not really, I believe I did a little croping
In my camera bag
I have switched over to Canon and usually have the 1DX Mark II a 300mm f2.8 lens with a 2X teleconverter or a 500mm lens f4 as I am really into Bird photography this days
Feedback
Always go early in the morning or late afternoon as most animals rest for the better part of the day and there is not a lot of actions. Also use the fastest shutter speed you can so you get good sharpness. Sun angle in this portrait was not important as it was in the woods
