These elk were restocked in Boxley valley in the 1970s. Best to view them is early morning or late afternoon. They say the elk are multiplying and doing fine. Elk were native of North Arkansas but was killed out in the early 1900s.
Notice the frost on their backs. Temps were down in the low 20s and high teens.
