Wolf Pup

A surprise encounter with a curious wolf pup.

I was driving down a back road on the way to a fave photo area when I noticed this little guy walking toward me.

After pulling the car over and opening my window to shoot he kept coming toward me. I took a look around to make sure Mamma Wolf was not near and then got out of the car but stayed safely on the other side of the open door.

He sauntered by and I walked forward (away from him) to get a different view. He shocked me by coming back and crawling under my car (into the shade I guess) and settled in for a nap!

I watched him from a safe distance for several minutes and then became concerned if another car came along he might bolt and get hit. It took some convincing "shooing" to get him to get out from under the car and into the safety of the bushes at the side of the road.

This occurred during a very down mood for me, so it was a very moving experience. :)
