Nice Work Eric! Congratulations on being named Photographer of the Month! I like the zig zag effect the bridge has leading out to the water and into a gorgeous sunset...well deserved!

Wonderful image ! The image gives the eye a chance to go straight out on the dock, colors are wonderful and you smoothed out the water so nicely. Hope you frame it.

Behind The Lens
Location
The photograph was taken in Santiago De La Ribera, in southern Spain.Time
This is my favourite image, it was taken at sunrise Easter time (April) 2013Lighting
The idea behind this photograph was to try and capture the glorious sunrise by being there early, before the sun rose and waiting for the right light and cloud formation.Equipment
I am a Nikon user, and although I would love a full frame camera, I currently use a D7000. This image was taken with the D7000, a standard tripod, my 18-200mm f3.5-5.6 lens and a Hitech 10 stop filter.Inspiration
I love serene landscapes and the zig zag nature of this jetty just calls out to you and beckons you through the doors to the private area. I am a big fan of milky water and cloud movement, i.e. using my 10 stop and 6 stop filters. I was hoping to capture the wonderful sunrise and calm waters of the lagoon, hence the title "Path to Glory", Glory being the glorious sunrise.Editing
I am also proud to say that this image actually received virtually no post processing. The colours are almost as they were, just a small tweak of contrast, but I did remove the skyline of La Manga on the horizon, as I wanted the horizon to be clutter free.In my camera bag
I normally carry my full kit with me, I don't have too much, so here is a rundown of what I use, D7100 and D7000 Cameras, Nikkor 18-200mm lens, Tokina 11-16mm F2.8, 50mm F1.4 and a Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro lens. I carry my Lee foundation holder (100mm) and for this holder I have a Hitech 10 stopper, Lee Little Stopper, a set of ND grads and a Set of ND filters. I have a wired remote and well as a wireless remote and a Nikon 910 flashFeedback
To achieve an image like this requires an early start and patience, I didn't get this shot on the first attempt and subsequent attempts at different times of year has not yielded as good an image. The best advice I can give is keep trying.
