This photo was taken as we were traveling up the Sani Pass between South Africa an Lesotho. I saw this amazing view and I had to stop (in the middle of a narrow mountain road) to capture it.Time
This photo was probably taken at about 10-11 am. Not the perfect time of day for landscapes but luckily the weather helped out a bit.Lighting
What was really awesome about this day is the fact that it was really cloudy and a bit rainy. Almost as if the light was on dim. This also makes it feel like you are more in touch with the landscape.Equipment
I used a Canon 550D, shot out of my car window.Inspiration
I loved the fact that you can see the long and winding dirt road that we traveled, but what stood out the most was the two different colors of the mountains. On the left everything is green, and the right is brown. Almost as if new life flows from the left. Another awesome aspect is the rain in the background.Editing
Yes, as with all my landscape photos. Always contrast and saturation. I believe one should show nature as you see it with you eyes, and obviously a camera cant bring you that close, so it needs a bit of help.In my camera bag
I am a very lazy person, so I'll only have my camera and maybe a backup lens. Light and efficient.Feedback
The thing is, its not about taking the photo or editing, I think anyone can do that. Its really about traveling and discovery. Go out and look for things you don't see everyday. Don't be afraid to go off the main road. Take it all in and capture as many moments and memories as possible.
