I used a Canon 5d Mark II, 17-40mm L , shot at ISO400, f13, 1/60sec 40mm focal length.Inspiration
Actually I set out to shoot some classic automobiles, I find older cars very interesting. I have been trying to get a little more creative in photographing them. I have to say the last few times I have gone out I have been very pleased with how the photos have turned out. Sometimes it's hit or miss, but you just have to keep being creative and trying out different angles.Editing
This particular shot I had some lawn chairs behind the car and there were some people also standing behind it. So I had to clone that stuff out. I don't have Photoshop so I downloaded Gimp to do the cloning. I also used Lightroom to do the post processing. The stuff I usually shoot I don't do any kind of cloning, but found with the car shows, there is inevitably someone or something in the shot that you will need to edit out.In my camera bag
I usually have my tripod, Canon 5d Mark II, Canon 17-40L and Canon 70-200L F4. Also lately I have been using my Fuji Xpro1 and 35mm prime. I have more Cameras and lenses, but this is the stuff I have in my bag ready to go when I head out.Feedback
Just keep at it, pay attention to the backgrounds, a little editing is ok but I try to keep it do a minimum. Unless you really enjoy it, which I do not lol. Otherwise just keep trying different angles to get the shot you want. Also pay attention to reflections, I have some shots that didn't turn out the way I wanted because of what was reflected in the paint of the car.
