Location
This is the simplest spot for taking photos ever... the balcony in my flat. However the view is quite good - open space, the bridge and lots of greenTime

I have used tripod and made dozen of expositions without moving the camera.Inspiration
I just love the harsh weather, heavy rains, lightings and dense clouds. You can always find some nice photo in such scenery.Editing
I have done simple processing and composed final shot from two or three different expositions. There were much more of lightings photos but did not look as good as those that I have usedIn my camera bag
This was wide zoom from Tokina (11-16mm) attached to my Sony a77 camera, mentioned before tripod. I have manually triggered all of photos. Usually I carry also lots of flash lights for light painting shots, Tamron 17-50mm and Sony 35mm for portraits. Recently I use lots of manual lenses, especially Helios 85mmFeedback
Be patient don't move your camera after you compose your shot, trigger one photo after another - with long exposure (30") and not too wide aperture (otherwise lightings will burn out the shot) you will finally score some nice shots
